Message must go in to the fuel rail without getting pinched from forcing incorrectly. Did you use alot of Vaseline on them? There are also rubber seals to the fuel rail and the manifold that must be carefully installed. Check if fuel system to the injectors holds pressure. I check this with a COLD ENGINE by disconnecting the fuel line (precaution here to correctly relieve residual fuel pressure) at the filter as well as the return to the tank and make a closed loop by connecting these together with a tee fitting. Then from the tee insert a pressure gage, then a valve, then connect to the air pressure pump. Pressurize the loop to say 50 psi and close the valve to prevent back flow thru the air compressor rings. Note the gage needle and let it sit for several hours. If needle stays at start pressure your fuel system is tight and OK.

This fuel pressure test will not tell if there is an air seal at the rubber seals at the fuel rail attachment to the lower manifold. That can be checked for air leaks with engine running and a vacuum gage on the plenum.
